Ravens 24, Jaguars 21

November 26, 2001|By Jamison Hensley

Thumbs up: Quarterback Elvis Grbac. After losing last Sunday's game with five turnovers, he stepped up to win yesterday. Not counting the two spikes to stop the clock, Grbac was 5-for-7 in the final drive for 71 yards.

Thumbs down: The fourth-quarter defense. After a dominating start, the Ravens gave up 212 yards and three touchdowns in the final 20 minutes.

Stat of game: 70 - Percent of passes completed by Grbac. Since returning from a rib injury two weeks ago, he hadn't completed more than 56 percent of his passes.

Quotable: "Elvis understands that he was brought here to do a job, and Elvis understands that we're going to ride him. If the horse can't make it, we're going to stand him up and beat him and ride him some more." - Ravens tight end Shannon Sharpe, on his quarterback. Trainer's room: No major injuries were reported.-
