Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Robbery: A man armed with a knife robbed Fleet Street Shell in the 600 block of S. Luzerne Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 5 p.m. Saturday while threatening an employee and the employee's mother, who was visiting.

Robbery: A 40-year-old man was walking in the 500 block of S. Oldham St. about 5:20 p.m. Saturday when another man struck him in the face and stole a bag containing two bars of soap, toilet tissue and hair shampoo.

Robbery try: A man, 50, was walking in the 3200 block of E. Fayette St. about 5 p.m. Saturday when two men, one with a knife, demanded his money. When the victim ran into a nearby grocery store for help, the would-be robbers fled.

Stolen vehicle: A green 1995 Dodge van with tags M680184 was stolen Saturday in the 3500 block of Fleet St.

Western District

Robbery try/shooting: A man and woman were about to rob Carter's Cut Rate Liquors in the 1100 block of N. Stricker St. about 9 a.m. Saturday when the manager retrieved a handgun and shot the woman after she struck him with a piece of concrete. The woman and her male accomplice fled the store, but the woman was captured a short distance away. She was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center for a minor wound and taken into custody. Her name was not available. Her accomplice was being sought.

Robbery: An employee of One Price Clothing at Mondawmin Mall was on her way to make a deposit at a nearby bank about 9:20 p.m. Saturday when she was attacked from behind by a man who robbed her of an undisclosed sum of money. He threatened to shoot her, but did not display a weapon.

Eastern District

Robbery: An 81-year-old man was seated in his car with a woman, 37, in the 1000 block of Iris Ave. about 5:30 p.m. Saturday when she robbed him of $5 and fled.

Stolen vehicle: A 1996 Honda with tags GCC 618 was stolen over the weekend from the 700 block of E. Preston St.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, were in the 700 block of E. Preston St. about 11 a.m. Saturday when they robbed a 24-year-old man of $125.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Someone entered Ayrdale Variety in the 3300 block of Ayrdale Ave. through a door over the weekend and stole $20, three leather jackets, 12 other jackets, 50 pairs of jeans, 15 shirts, 50 hats, a videocassette recorder, two radios and a telephone. The loss was estimated at $6,320.

Gun stolen: A 9 mm High Point semiautomatic handgun with serial No. P046533 and a box of ammunition were stolen over the weekend from a car parked in the 4700 block of Park Heights Ave.

Northern District

Burglary: Video games and their accessories - all valued at $300 - were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 3600 block of Parkdale Ave. by someone who entered a second-floor window from the fire escape.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Robbery try: A 16-year-old girl was getting out of her car in the 1500 block of Nicolay Way about 9:15 p.m. Saturday when a man approached and demanded money. Instead of complying, the girl ran toward a house, and the man fled.

Parkville Precinct

Stolen car/arrest: A 1988 Jeep was stolen in the first block of Lambert Court late Friday. Police stopped the vehicle in Essex and arrested the driver, a 27-year-old man who is a former roommate of the owner.
