Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shooting: Police were seeking a gunman who shot an East Baltimore man in both legs and an arm in the 1500 block of E. Eager St. about 5 p.m. Tuesday. The victim, 33, was stable yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Shooting: A man, 23, was standing in the 2900 block of E. Monument St. about 8 p.m. Tuesday when he was shot in the abdomen by an unknown assailant. The victim, from the first block of N. East Ave., was in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Southeastern District

Stabbing: A man was standing at Eastern and East avenues about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday when another man pulled a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen. The victim was treated at an area hospital. Police said the assailant drove off in a white 1994 Ford pickup truck with tags 357 F58.

Southern District

Theft: After stealing a credit card from a dwelling in the 2400 block of W. Patapsco Ave. about Nov. 15, the unknown thief used it to purchase more than $400 worth of merchandise over five days.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A woman, 67, was walking in the 3800 block of Clarks Lane about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when a man struck her in the back of the head and stole her purse containing $160 and a $150 gift certificate.

Northeastern District

Burglary: Two 27-inch televisions, an antique radio and a microwave oven - all valued at more than $3,000 - were stolen Monday from a house in the 4200 block of Moravia Road.

Robbery try: A woman, 44, was seated at a bus stop in the 6100 block of Belair Road about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday when a man displaying a handgun sat next to her and demanded her purse. Rather than comply, the woman got up and walked away.

Northern District

Theft from vehicle: An electronic planner, leather coat and handheld computer - all valued at more than $1,000 - were stolen Tuesday from a Ford Explorer parked in the 4500 block of N. Charles St.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Schmidt's Baking Co. Outlet Store in the first block of Margaret Ave. of $200 about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed Payless Shoe Source in the 1400 block of Merritt Blvd. of $82 about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Parkville Precinct

Stolen car/arson: A 2000 Honda Civic reported stolen in Towson was found burning on Morgan Mill Road near Loch Raven Drive at the Loch Raven Reservoir about 9 p.m. Tuesday. The $12,000 car was destroyed.
