9 arrested in Westminster on narcotics charges after four-week investigation

Officers make 17 buys of drugs in operation by state, local agencies

Nine men and women have been arrested on drug charges after a four-week investigation into narcotics activity near Pennsylvania Avenue and West Main Street in Westminster.

During Operation WISHBONE, undercover officers made 17 purchases of drugs, including crack cocaine and marijuana, valued at $1,200, Carroll County authorities said during a news conference yesterday morning. Police seized 18.5 grams of crack cocaine, 16.3 grams of marijuana and $177 cash.

"The message is out that you don't deal drugs where you're not welcome," said Lt. Terry Katz, commander of the Westminster barracks.

The investigation was conduced by the Carroll County Drug Task Force, Westminster police, Maryland State Police, Carroll County state's attorney's office and the county sheriff's office.

Arrested Tuesday were:

Kevin Lee Few, 36, of the 300 block of Roberts Mill Road in Taneytown, charged with distribution of crack cocaine, conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine.

George Leroy Tucker Jr., 36, of the 100 block of Court St. in Westminster, possession of paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance prescription, possession with intent to distribute and distribution of fake CDS, three counts of distribution of crack cocaine, two counts of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, and three counts of possession of crack cocaine.

Shauna Doreen O'Malley, 19, of the first block of Pennsylvania Ave. in Westminster, three counts of distribution of crack cocaine, two counts of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, five counts each of possession of crack cocaine and CDS paraphernalia.

Ezra Rafael Johnson, 27, of Essex, possession of marijuana and crack cocaine, two counts possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Dayuana D. Mccargo, 23, of Baltimore, possession of marijuana and crack cocaine, two counts possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Beverly Lynne Michaud, 42, of the 100 block of W. Main St. in Westminster, possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia.

Michael Franklin Michaud, 37, of the 100 block of W. Main St. in Westminster, possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia.

Jody Lynn Arnold, 42, of the first block of York St. in Taneytown, conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine. Her vehicle, a 1996 Pontiac Firebird, was seized.

Marion Jonathan Rouse, 19, of the first block of W. George St. in Westminster, one count each of distribution and possession of crack cocaine.

Tucker was being held last night at the Carroll County Detention Center in Westminster on bonds totaling $7,500.
