Cast members of The West Wing are filming a 30-second promotional TV spot to get tourists back into Washington.

According to E! Online, Martin Sheen and Rob Lowe are expected to urge viewers to take in the nation capital's charms, making their appeals right from the NBC show's set.

The city's convention and tourism bureau will use the spot in its "Be Inspired" promotional campaign.

Washington is taking a page out of New York's book. That city has tapped such high-powered celebs as Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal, Woody Allen, Ben Stiller, Kevin Bacon, Yogi Berra, Barbara Walters and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in its quest to bring back tourists.

Mayor Rudolph Giuliani delivers the campaign's key message: "The New York miracle. Be a part of it."
