Health screenings to be held Thursday at Annapolis center

Lifeline Screening, a health care company, will offer health screenings from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Annapolis Senior Center, 1027 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis. The program will include scanning for carotid artery blockage, tests for aneurysms, vascular tests and bone density screenings for osteoporosis. Cost is $35 for the osteoporosis test and $40 for the vascular test. Registration is required.

Hammonds Lane Center to hold bazaar Saturday

The Hammonds Lane Center of Genesis ElderCare will hold its holiday bazaar, bake sale and flea market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the center, 613 Hammonds Lane, Brooklyn Park. The event will feature handmade crafts, baked goods and flea market items.

Flower guild to make wreaths at meeting

The Flower and Herb Guild of the O'Malley Senior Center will hold this month's meeting from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at the center, 1275 Odenton Road, Odenton. Participants will learn to make holiday wreaths with bows and greens. The wreaths will be used to decorate the center.

Those who attend are asked to bring wire cutters. New members are welcome, but registration is required. Information: 410-222-6227.

Informational meeting on veterans affairs set

The Department of Veterans Affairs and the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging have scheduled an informational meeting about veterans benefits for 9 a.m. Nov. 26 at Arnold Senior Center, 44 Church Road. A veterans affairs counselor will be available to answer questions and discuss eligibility for benefits.

Bowling: South County Senior Center is seeking bowlers to join the center's bowling team. A van trip to Annapolis Bowling will be offered the third Wednesday of each month.
