November 13, 2001

An Eldersburg man has been arrested in the robbery and assault of a 55-year-old Finksburg man early Saturday, Maryland State Police said.

Mark Allen Stultz, 43, of the 6600 block of Marvin Ave. was charged with robbery, first- and second-degree assault, theft of less than $500 and reckless endangerment, police said.

A man, whose name was not released, told police he was walking in the 2000 block of Liberty Road about 1 a.m. when a second man approached him and demanded money. The man told police he was hit in the head and robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash when he refused.

A clerk at a nearby convenience store called police.

The injured man was treated at Carroll County General Hospital and released.
