Man, 18, found dead in business park in apparent homicide

GLEN BURNIE - An 18- year-old Glen Burnie man whose body was discovered early yesterday in the parking lot of a business complex was the apparent victim of a homicide, police say.

The body of Elvin R. Johnson Jr. of the 600 block of Leprechaun Lane was discovered about 1:30 a.m. by a security guard who was patrolling Cloverleaf Business Park off Veterans Lane in Glen Burnie, according to Anne Arundel County police. "The victim suffered from trauma to the upper body," a police spokesman said. "Based on the trauma to the victim and evidence recovered at the crime scene, the death is being investigated as a homicide."

Police would not release details yesterday about the specific nature of the man's fatal injuries or evidence police recovered at the scene. The body was taken to the medical examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy.
