Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Arrest: Rodney Brown, 20, of the 2900 block of Oakhill Ave. was arrested yesterday in the 2600 block of Kent St. on warrants charging him with attempted murder in the shooting of Emanuel DeJesus and Maurice Harris, both 23, in the 800 block of E. Belvedere Ave. on Aug. 28. Brown was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Eastern District

Shooting: An unidentified man was in the 1200 block of Pearleaf Court in the Somerset Homes public housing complex about 7:30 p.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant shot him in the left side. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northeastern District

Robbery try: Police were seeking a man who splashed gasoline inside the cashier's booth at the Exxon station in the 2500 block of Harford Road about 7 a.m. Tuesday, threatening to ignite it if the attendant did not give him the contents of a cash register. The man did not set the booth ablaze, however, and fled without taking any money.

Burglaries: Cash, jewelry and credit cards -- all valued at more than $600 -- were stolen yesterday from a house in the 4300 block of Forestview Ave. by someone who entered through a rear door. On Monday, someone entered a house in the 4400 block of Forestview through a basement door and stole two ceramic swords valued at $1,000.

Southeastern District

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player and several compact discs -- all valued at $230 -- were stolen Tuesday from a 1992 Acura parked in the 2400 block of Fleet St.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A resident of the 11700 block of Franklinville Road was approaching her house by car about 2 p.m. Tuesday when she noticed another car occupied by two males pulling out of her driveway. The woman followed the car for a short distance before returning home. There, she found someone had broken in through an attached garage door and stolen a coin collection valued at more than $3,000 from a closet.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A chain saw and lawn-care equipment -- all valued at $300 -- were stolen Tuesday from a shed in the 1000 block of Beach Drive.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A golf cart valued at more than $3,000 was stolen between Monday night and Tuesday morning from Pine Ridge Golf Course in the 2100 block of Dulaney Valley Road.

Church burglary: Someone broke into Church of the Nativity in the 1800 block of Vista Lane on Tuesday after breaking a glass door valued at $200. It was not known if any property was missing.
