6 from Westminster among 7 seized on drug counts

Westminster police seized marijuana, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia from two apartments at 88 W. Main St. and arrested five residents, three women and two men, on charges of drug possession Thursday.

In a separate incident Thursday, police arrested two men and charged one of them with possession and the other with possession and distribution of heroin.

Police said those arrested were Juanita Barnett Hansen, 49, of West Main Street; Jennifer M. Wheeler, 19, of Bond Street; Michael A. Watson, 41, of South Church Street; Stephanie Lynn Ault, 32, of Old Manchester Road and Apolo O. Salazar, 19, of Bond Street.

Hansen was being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on $10,000 bail, police said. The others were released on their recognizance.

In the other incident, narcotics division detectives arrested two men suspected of being involved in a drug sale.

Police said Anthony Gerard Hill, 37, of Troutbrook Circle in Reisterstown was charged with possession and distribution of heroin. Dennis Anthony Sawyer, 31, of West Main Street in Westminster was charged with possession of heroin.

Hill was being held at the detention center on $50,000 bail. Sawyer was released on his recognizance, police said.

Police reported the arrests this weekend.
