Holiday trade fair scheduled for Nov. 15 in Severna Park

Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its holiday trade fair from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Earleigh Heights fire hall on Ritchie Highway. The event, which will feature exhibitors from the chamber, also will have face painting, balloons for children and free food samples from area restaurants. Information: 410-647-3900.

SCORE workshop to focus on starting a business

SCORE chapter 390 will hold a one-day workshop, "How to Start and Manage Your Own Business," from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 20 on the second floor of Heritage Office Complex, 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis.

The workshop for business owners and those thinking of starting a business will feature speakers and responses to individual questions. The cost is $45. Reservation: 410-266-9553.

Care center: Annapolitan Care Center, an assisted-living facility, announced the opening last month of Bay Haven, a specialty care unit for older residents suffering from psychiatric disorders. A multidisciplinary team will provide diagnostic, behavioral and crisis-management services for residents and their families.

Store reopens: Sanders Jewelers has scheduled its grand reopening and dedication at 11 a.m. Nov. 16 at the renovated store, 4151 Mountain Road. State Sen. Philip C. Jimeno and Del. Mary M. Rosso will attend the ceremony.

Receives award: O'Conor, Piper and Flynn associate broker Lee Hatfield of Crownsville has received the National Association of Realtors Omega Tau Rho award for dedicated service.

Grant applications: Junior League of Annapolis Inc. is seeking applicants for Community Assistance Donation grants. The grants are available for volunteer projects in Anne Arundel County that focus on mentoring children. The application deadline is Friday. Information: 410-224-8984.

Holiday mixer: Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual scholarship silent auction and holiday mixer from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at Sandy Point State Park.
