Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Shooting: A man was walking in the 400 block of S. Grundy St. about 8:30 a.m. yesterday when a passenger of a passing silver-colored Toyota car fired several shots, one of which struck the victim in the left leg. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Police knew of no motive.

Theft: A leather jacket valued at $200 was stolen Saturday from a Geo Metro parked in the 600 block of S. Eden St.

Western District

Shooting: Police were seeking a gunman who, while riding a bicycle in the 1800 block of Clifton Ave. about 10:30 a.m. yesterday, shot a man in the foot. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Robbery: A man was standing at a bus stop in the 1100 block of W. Baltimore St. about 7 a.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of $1.35 and a cellular phone valued at $80.

Eastern District

Robbery: A woman, 32, was sitting on the front steps of a house in the 700 block of E. 22nd St. about 3 a.m. Saturday when a man robbed her of $100.

Robbery: Three men, one with a handgun, robbed a woman of her purse containing $33 and jewelry in the 2200 block of Jefferson St. about 7 a.m. Saturday.

Northwestern District

Bank robbery: Police were seeking a man who robbed Bank of America at the Reisterstown Road Shopping Center in the 6500 block of Reisterstown Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 2:30 p.m. Thursday after giving a teller a holdup note.

Aggravated assault: A man was walking in the 3000 block of W. Garrison Ave. about 2:30 a.m. Friday when a group of men standing on a porch ordered him to leave the area. After an exchange of words, the men attacked the victim, hitting him with their fists and a piece of wood. The victim fled the scene and was treated at Sinai Hospital for head injuries.

Southern District

Burglary: Power tools and an air compressor, with a combined worth of $840, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 1100 block of Battery Ave.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Hand and power tools, a ladder and extension cords -- all valued at nearly $500 -- were stolen Saturday from a house under renovation in the 3000 block of Belmont Ave.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player valued at $200 was stolen Saturday from a 1991 Volvo parked in the 2000 block of N. Dukeland St.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A gunman entered Putty Hill Liquors in the 7900 block of Belair Road about 10:15 a.m. Saturday and ordered the clerk to give him money from the safe. After the clerk gave the gunman an undisclosed sum, the clerk ran out of the store, followed by the gunman, who drove away in a stolen Nissan sedan with tags HHG 432.

Robbery/arrests: Three men were arrested Friday afternoon and charged with attempted unarmed robbery and assaulting an employee of CVS Pharmacy in the 9300 block of Harford Road. When the employee saw the men trying to steal merchandise from shelves, they assaulted him before fleeing. The three men drove away from the store in a red Pontiac Sunbird with Virginia tags that was stopped by police moments later at Harford Road and Laverne Avenue. The names of the three men were not available.

Towson Precinct

Carjack try: A woman, 19, was about to enter her car outside a convenience store in the 7200 block of York Road about 1:35 p.m. Saturday when a man carrying an unknown weapon threatened to kill her if she didn't hand over her keys. When the woman refused to give up her keys, the man snatched them from her hand and fled on foot.

Robbery try: A woman, 24, was leaving a grocery store in the 1200 block of Putty Hill Ave. about 6:30 a.m. Saturday when two of three men who approached attempted to steal the bag of groceries she was carrying. When the third man told the other two to leave her alone, all three left the scene and drove off in a gray-colored sport utility vehicle with unknown tags.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A man was being sought after he broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment in the first block of Vintage Court between Oct. 26 and Nov. 2 and stole at least 40 compact discs and the keys to the woman's Jeep Wrangler.
