Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Shootings: Police were investigating two shootings late Saturday that may be related. About 11 p.m., a man, 25, was in the 1800 block of Braddish Ave. near North Avenue when he was shot in the left leg and back. The victim got into his car and, with a passenger, was driving to Bon Secours Hospital when he lost control of the car and crashed into a wall on Baker Street. The passenger drove the victim to Bon Secours. He was transferred to Maryland Shock Trauma Center and listed yesterday in critical condition. Also late Saturday, a man walked into the emergency room at Maryland General Hospital bleeding from a bullet wound to the left arm. He told police he was shot during a robbery about 11 p.m. at North and Braddish avenues.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Police were seeking a man who, after ordering two hamburgers at Little Tavern in the 3500 block of Eastern Ave. about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, pulled a handgun and ordered the clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. The man fled with an undisclosed sum of cash - and the hamburgers.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Power tools valued at $1,800 were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 4000 block of Frederick Ave. that is being renovated. Entry was through a locked rear basement door.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Arson: Police were seeking a man who set fire to clothing in a T.J. Maxx store at Valley Center in the 9600 block of Reisterstown Road shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday. Several minutes later, the same man entered Ross Clothing there and set fire to paper products in a restroom. Damage was minor in both incidents, and no injuries were reported.

Woodlawn Precinct

Carjacking: After a man gave two men a ride from the 400 block of Athol Ave. near Edmondson Village in Baltimore to the Heraldry Square Townhouses on Stony Bar Road about 11 p.m. Saturday, one of the passengers pulled a handgun and robbed the motorist of $100. The men then ordered the driver out of his 1999 Ford Taurus with tags JBX 260 and drove off with it.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry, a checkbook and an ATM card - all valued at $600 - were stolen during the weekend from a house in the first block of Compass Road.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man, 26, was walking on Loch Raven Boulevard near Loch Hill Road about 11 p.m. Saturday when two men, one carrying a stick, exited a red Jeep. One struck the victim with the stick, then the other robbed him of a black nylon bag before they drove away.
