Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Murder try/arrest: A 45-year-old man was struck in the head with a hammer and stabbed in the back after arguing with a woman at his home in the first block of E. Timonium Road. When police arrived, they found the man standing in a room with a knife in his back. He was listed in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Arrested on charges including attempted murder was Kristen Bernard, 35, of the 6400 block of Phantom Moon Walk in Clarksville.

Woodlawn Precinct

Bank robbery/arrest: After a man asked a teller at First Union Bank in the 1700 block of N. Rolling Road to cash a check about 10 a.m. Saturday, he pulled a gun and demanded money. When the teller pressed the holdup alarm, the man fled without any money. A short time later, police arrested a suspect near the bank and recovered a toy gun. Charged with attempted armed robbery was Denario Mann, 20, whose address was not available.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking two men who sprayed a man, 27, with a chemical irritant and robbed him of his jacket, keys and a cellular phone while he stood at a bus stop in the 9300 block of Liberty Road about 1 p.m. Thursday. The victim reported the robbery Saturday.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Shooting: Police were seeking an unidentified man who fired several shots into a house in the 1500 block of Upshire Road late Friday, wounding a 21-year-old male occupant in the left arm as he was about to open the front door in response to a knock. The victim was treated at Union Memorial Hospital. Police said several bullets entered the house, piercing the front door and a dining room wall.

Southern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed Chris' Liquors & Grill in the 1200 block of Washington Blvd. of more than $100 in cash and several lottery tickets about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Southeastern District

Robbery try: A man armed with a knife demanded money from a 78-year-old woman in the 2700 block of Foster Ave. about 1:30 p.m. Saturday. But as she was about to hand over a dollar, he said, "Never mind, keep it."

Theft from vehicle: A carrying bag containing books, compact discs, shoes, a cellular phone and a radar detector - all valued at more than $1,200 - were stolen Saturday from a 1996 Nissan parked in the 1200 block of E. Pratt St.

Western District

Rape: A woman, 35, was walking in the 1100 block of Edmondson Ave. about 7 a.m. Saturday when a man forced her into a vacant house in the nearby 1100 block of Harlem Ave. The victim, who was raped in a second-floor room, was treated at Mercy Medical Center.

Eastern District

Abduction/robbery: A man armed with a knife forced his way into another man's car in the 1900 block of Belair Road about 5:30 p.m. Saturday and ordered him to drive away. Moments later, the armed man robbed the driver, 30, of clothing and a cellular phone, then fled on foot.

Burglary: A pit bull, DVD player, two videocassette recorders, a television and a leather jacket were stolen Saturday from a house in the 2200 block of E. Chase St.
