Dental Benefit Providers names Ruth executive VP
Dental Benefit Providers Inc. hired Kevin Ruth as executive vice president of operations for the Bethesda-based unit of the UnitedHealthGroup. Among his responsibilities are corporate quality improvement, network relations, recruitment, claims and customer service. Formerly a vice president with HealthGuard, Ruth is a CPA and earned his M.B.A. at West Chester University.
Catanzariti takes post at Md. General Hospital
Maryland General Hospital hired Penny Catanzariti as director of quality improvement and education. She is responsible for rehabilitation operations and strategic planning at the downtown health facility. Formerly vice president of nursing at Stella Maris, she holds a master's degree in nursing from the University of Maryland.
Goodman runs Ginger Cove environmental services
Ginger Cove, a life-care retirement community in Annapolis, appointed Peter Goodman director of environmental services. Formerly a coordinator with Wynd-holme Village Retirement Community for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing, he holds a master's degree from Southeastern University and is a member of the International Facilities Management Association and a board member of Deaf Reach.
