Falling: UCLA's DeShaun Foster was held to 77 yards and 1 TD. He had only 26 yards in the first half.

Top performers

ShanDerrick Charles: Ran for 212 yards and 4 TDs in his first start for Southern Methodist.

Lee Evans: Caught 9 passes for 228 yards and 3 TDs, the first Wisconsin receiver to go over 1,000 yards.

Upset of the week

Syracuse, beating No. 5 Virginia Tech, 22-14, and ending the Ho kies' 16-game home winning streak.
