Senate confirms DiBiagio as U.S. attorney for Md.

Thomas M. DiBiagio has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as the U.S. attorney for Maryland.

DiBiagio, 41, of Parkton, who was nominated for the $125,700- a-year job by President Bush on Sept. 5, had been a federal prosecutor for nine years and left a partnership in a Washington law firm to accept it.

He was confirmed by the Senate on Tuesday.
