Meeting to focus on improvements at water facility

October 25, 2001

The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works will answer questions about planned improvements to the Annapolis Water Reclamation Facility at 7 o'clock tonight in the cafeteria of Annapolis Middle School, 1399 Forest Drive.

The project is designed to increase capacity, address odor concerns and improve water treatment, resulting in the discharge of cleaner water into the Chesapeake Bay. Earthen berms and additional landscaping are to provide better screening to enhance the facility's appearance.

Construction is to begin in May and end in about two years. Information: 410-222-7582.
