Annapolis' Eric Venerable let Northeast know early that he was ready for a big game.

The senior took a handoff on the host Panthers' first offensive play and ran 73 yards for a touchdown. He then added four more touchdowns and totaled 332 yards on 17 carries, as No. 2 Annapolis (6-1) rolled to a 46-6 victory over Northeast (4-3 overall, 0-3 Anne Arundel County).

No. 7 Eastern Tech 49, Chesapeake-BC 6: Senior running back Broderick Maybank ran for four touchdowns, and added a fifth score when he caught senior Joe Saitta's third-quarter pass for a 36-yard touchdown. The win improved the Raiders to 6-1 overall, and 5-1 in Baltimore County.

No. 2 Hereford 61, Western Tech 14: Grant Hemmerly carried 15 times for 100 yards to help the Bulls (7-0) down the visiting Wolverines (3-4).

Boys soccer

Boys' Latin 2, Friends 0: Senior Matt Feild scored a goal in each half as the host Lakers (15-0, 11-0 in MIAA B Conference) blanked the Quakers. Boys Latin will play Gilman on Tuesday.

Field hockey

No. 10 Bryn Mawr 5, No. 14 Notre Dame Prep 0: Five different players scored in the host Mawrtians' non-divisional victory over the Blazers. Bryn Mawr improved to 9-3-4.

Maryvale 4, John Carroll 0: Senior Kelly Freitag scored a season-high three goals, and senior goalie Lauren Strassner earned the shutout for the host Lions.
