Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Shooting: A man, 35, was in the 3600 block of Ninth St. near Patapsco Avenue in Brooklyn shortly after midnight yesterday when an unidentified man shot him in both arms. The victim, a resident of West Baltimore, was released after treatment at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police said the shooting appeared to be drug-related.

Burglary: A 45-inch television, a 27-inch television, DVD player, laptop computer, bread maker and video games - all valued at more than $2,000 - were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 2400 block of Seabury Ave.

Southeastern District

Dog theft: A Bichon-Frise dog valued at more than $500 was stolen Tuesday from the rear yard of a house in the 100 block of Conkling St.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player, $50, a cellular phone and a knife were stolen Tuesday from a 1993 Chrysler Concorde parked in the 1400 block of Aliceanna St.

Eastern District

Shooting: After several men robbed another man, 30, of his jewelry and a cellular phone in the 500 block of McElderry St. about 8 p.m. Tuesday, one of the robbers pulled a handgun and shot the victim once in the shoulder. The assailants fled; the victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Southwestern District

Theft by trick: Police were seeking a woman who entered a house in the 2000 block of Sunset Drive on Tuesday after requesting a paper bag from the elderly female occupant. While the occupant was looking for a bag, the woman entered a room and stole $300, medication and a medical assistance card. The occupant discovered the theft after the woman departed.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking a man who assaulted a 10-year-old boy Tuesday in the 3600 block of Valley Terrace while the boy was on his way to school and stole his cap and book bag. Police said the child was not injured and that the man, about 40, is known to frequent the area.

Burglary/arrests: Three men hired to maintain a house for sale in the 3800 block of Cassandra Road were arrested Tuesday and charged with stealing a refrigerator, washing machine and a dryer - all valued at more than $1,000 - from the house Friday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: While the occupants of a house in the first block of Hardwood Court were sleeping early Tuesday, someone entered through a sliding glass door and stole a purse containing cash, a cellular phone, sunglasses and a wallet - all valued at nearly $900.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A laptop computer, video camera, 35 mm camera and cash - all valued at nearly $3,000 - were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 19600 block of Ensor Road in White Hall by someone who entered through a rear deck door.
