Drama by Margulies opens at Hopkins

Collected Stories, a play about friendship and fiction, opens the season at Theatre Hopkins tomorrow. Under Suzanne Pratt's direction, Judy Shannon portrays a successful short-story writer; recent Towson University grad Lisa Walsh plays her protegee. The two-person drama is by Donald Margulies, winner of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for drama for Dinner With Friends.

The 2001-2002 Theatre Hopkins season also offers Vera Caspary and George Sklar's Laura (Feb. 15-March 17), George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion (April 19-May 19), and Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins (June 21-July 14).

Theatre Hopkins performs in the Merrick Barn on the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:15 p.m. Sundays, through Nov. 18. Tickets are $12 and $15. Call 410-516-7159.
