Community college adds two new staff members

Carroll Community College has welcomed two new members to its staff.

Sally Long has joined the office of continuing education and training as the director of lifelong learning and community development.

Her responsibilities will be to develop courses in the humanities and to foster partnerships with community organizations with an interest in the humanities. She also will direct two project developers whose areas encompass senior and youth courses and English as a second language instruction.

She holds a bachelor's degree in liberal studies from Salisbury State University and has 16 years' experience in the community college system. Long lives in Silver Run.

William David Fell has joined the faculty as an English instructor. He taught previously at University of Illinois. He holds a master's degree and a doctorate in English from University of Illinois.

He is teaching "Craft of Composition" and "Writing About Literature" this semester.

Fell lives in Westminster.
