A man was found dead in a wooded area just off Cold Spring Lane and Greenspring Avenue last night, his body bound at the hands and feet, police said.

Children found the man's body, police said. The man, who was not identified, was described as a black adult male and had probably been thrown into a creek from a nearby embankment, police said. The cause of death had not been determined last night.

Police said the death might be connected to an earlier homicide.

On Monday, a passer-by spotted a woman bound and gagged about 100 feet from where the body was found yesterday. The woman, who had been beaten, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she died about 5 p.m. yesterday, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Al Marcus at 410-396-2100.
