HOWARD CRIME REPORT

The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

East Columbia

Broken Staff: 7300 block, Owen Brown. A Hyundai Elantra with Maryland tags was reported stolen Oct. 3.

Bushranger Path: 6700 block, Kings Contrivance. A silver Chevrolet Monte Carlo was reported stolen Oct. 2.

Cape Ann Drive: 10100 block, Kings Contrivance. Someone entered a residence Oct. 2 through an unsecured rear door and stole a purse. The purse was found outside the home, but money was missing from it.

Dobbin Center Way: 6400 block. Two men entered a restaurant Oct. 2, and one displayed a handgun and announced a robbery. The employees ran to the rear of the store and called police. The men fled. Nothing was taken.

Lambskin Lane: 9100 block, Long Reach. A white and red Honda Reflex motorcycle without tags was reported stolen Oct. 4.

Quiet Hours: 6500 block, Owen Brown. A man told police he was called to a friend's apartment Oct. 1. When he arrived, he was accosted by five males. One displayed a handgun and robbed the man of his cash.

Sharp Antler: 9300 block, Owen Brown. As residents were returning to their house Oct. 2, three men dressed in black came from the side of the house and announced a robbery. All of the men had their faces covered and were armed with handguns. The residents gave them a wallet, cigarettes and a pocket knife.

Sweet Fern: 6500 block, Owen Brown. A naked male teen-ager was observed running between houses Oct. 3, but police did not find the youth during area checks.

Tamar Drive: 8800 block, Long Reach. Someone forced a deadbolt open Sept. 30 and took clothing and a digital video disc player from the residence.

Woodpark Lane: 7600 block, Kings Contrivance. A woman called police to report that someone had opened the deadbolt of her front door the night of Oct. 3. The woman was awakened when her dog started barking, but there were no signs of damage.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Washington Blvd.: 7500 block, Elkridge. A man and woman told police they were beaten and robbed by four juveniles Oct. 4. Three suspects were arrested in Baltimore County.

Western Howard

Broadleaf Court: 3600 block, Glenwood. Someone entered a detached shed Oct. 4 and took a riding lawn mower.
