Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shooting: A male, 17, was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday after he was shot in the chest, arms and legs during an incident in the 1800 block of N. Collington Ave. about 2 a.m. Sunday. Police said the same youth had two bullet wounds from a shooting a month ago two blocks from the scene of Sunday's incident. No arrest had been made in either shooting, and it was not known if the same gunman was involved in both incidents.

Central District

Assault: Police were seeking a man who struck a woman in the head with a bottle in her home in the 1500 block of Baker St., then threw her out a first-floor window Sunday. No information was available on the extent of the woman's injuries.

Robbery/assault: A man, 19, was walking in the 400 block of Park Ave. about 3 a.m. Sunday when several other males, one armed with a handgun, demanded his money. When the victim said he had none, the gunman struck him with the weapon while the others beat him with their fists.

Theft: A woman, 45, was sleeping on a bench in the 100 block of W. Baltimore St. early Sunday when someone stole her purse containing $90, cigarettes and personal property.

Theft from vehicle: A laptop computer of unknown value was stolen Sunday from a 2002 Dodge pickup truck parked in the 100 block of N. Charles St.

Western District

Robbery try/shooting: A man, 20, was walking in the 1800 block of Edmondson Ave. about 1 a.m. Sunday when a gunman demanded his money. When the victim resisted, the gunman shot him in the chest, then fled. The victim, a resident of South Baltimore, was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southeastern District

Stolen vehicle: A tan, four-door 1999 Toyota Camry with tags HYK 422 was stolen during the weekend in the 1600 block of Thames St.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Robbery try/assault: Police were seeking a man who tried to rob a 15-year-old boy at knifepoint in the 7700 block of Harford Road late Saturday. The victim fled and was not injured.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: A computer printer and several pieces of jewelry - all of unknown value - were stolen during the weekend from a storage locker in the basement of an apartment building in the first block of Otley Court.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A $450 money order and $800 cash were stolen Saturday from a house in the 100 block of Aspenwood Road. A former girlfriend of the occupant is being sought.- Richard Irwin
