Del. Turner to help with medical system policy decisions

Casper R. Taylor, speaker of the House of Delegates, has appointed Del. Frank S. Turner, chairman of the Howard County House Delegation, to help with policy decisions concerning the state's emergency medical services system and trauma centers.

Del. John F. Wood Jr., chairman of the House Commerce and Government Matters Committee, and Del. John Adams Hurson, chairman of the House Environmental Matters Committee, have also been asked to participate.

Hiban donates golf carts to two high schools

Pat Hiban of the Pat Hiban Real Estate Group, Re/MAX Advantage, Columbia, has donated EZGO electric golf carts to River Hill and Wilde Lake high schools. The golf carts will help move supplies to and from the schools' playing fields. The carts are equipped for wheelchairs.

Hiban, who graduated from Wilde Lake High School in 1983, is a resident of the River Hill school district.
