Ringer wins again in Md. Senior Open

LOTHIAN -- Larry Ringer, a teaching professional at Country Road Driving Range in Frederick, made it 2-for-2 in the Maryland State Senior Open, turning a three-shot lead into a six-shot victory with a 3-under-par 69 yesterday for a 36-hole total of 139 at Old South Country Club.

Glenn Brown, head pro at Westwood Country Club in Vienna, Va., shot a 70 for the day's only other sub-par round in a field of 59. Joe Wood, Norbeck CC, was low amateur at 148, edging Joe Records, Hillendale CC, and Dick Roulette, Fountain Head CC, by a stroke.
