"Ramona Quimby, Age 8 by Beverly Cleary is about a mischievous little girl and how hard it is being 8. She even cracks a raw egg on her head in the school cafeteria! I liked the book because as a third-grader I can relate to some of Ramona's difficulties."

"I really liked Volcanoes: Mountains of Fire by Eric Arnold. It was interesting to learn that many planets have volcanoes. Although they can erupt and harm many people and animals, they are still important. They make a new layer of soil and ash where new things can grow."

"My Life With the Wave by Catherine Cowan is one of my favorite books. It is about a boy who brings home a wave. But one day in winter, they leave the wave. The wave turns into a beautiful statue of ice. I liked the book because it is about friendship."
