A 33-year-old Milford Mill man was shot and killed yesterday morning as he sat in a car parked in front of his house.

Jesse Edward Williams of the 8200 block of Courtland Manor Road was shot several times about 7 a.m. after getting into his car, Baltimore County police said.

Cpl. Vickie Warehime, a department spokeswoman, said officers found Williams slumped in the car.

Williams was taken to Northwest Hospital Center, where he died a short time later.

Warehime said police know of no suspects or motive in the case.

A neighbor said she heard at least six to eight shots. Warehime said police are trying to learn how many times Williams was shot.

The neighbor said Williams left his house every day about 7 a.m.

Williams had a criminal record dating to 1991, including a charge of first-degree murder in 1996, court records show.

The outcome of that charge could not be determined yesterday, but Williams had served some jail time.
