Thompson S. Baker, vice president, exercised an option for 15,000 shares of common at $50.43 to $54.60 each from Aug. 10 to Aug. 17 and now directly and indirectly holds 607.

Procter & Gamble Co.

Bruce L. Byrnes, officer, exercised an option for 9,500 shares of common at $25.53 each Aug. 16. To cover transaction expenses, Byrnes turned in 5,307 of them and now directly and indirectly holds 174,460 shares.

John E. Pepper, chairman of the board, sold 3,500 shares of common at $76.76 each Aug. 27 and now directly and indirectly holds 878,147.

Rouse Co.

Alton J. Scavo, officer, exercised an option for 10,062 shares of common at $19.88 each Aug. 17. To cover transaction expenses, Scavo turned in 6,872 of them and now directly and indirectly holds 124,575 shares.

Anthony W. Deering, chairman of the board, exercised an option for 196,287 shares of common at $21.63 to $25.31 each Aug. 13. To cover transaction expenses, Deering turned in 161,112 of them and now directly and indirectly holds 573,441.
