Board OKs liquor permit for Westminster golf club

The Board of License Commissioners of Carroll County has approved the application of three residents for a Class C (golf course) beer, wine and liquor license for Bear Creek Golf Club.

Joseph B. Hughes, Bret D. Shifflett and William F. Leahy applied for the license for Bear Creek Beverage Corp. to be operated at the golf course, 2158 Littlestown Pike, Westminster.

F&M Bancorp board announces dividend

The board of directors of F&M Bancorp has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 27 cents per share payable Nov. 1.

The parent company of Farmers & Mechanics Bank and Home Federal Savings Bank had total assets of nearly $1.80 billion as of June 30.

F&M Bancorp has offices in eight counties, including Carroll.
