Realtors' convention set Wednesday in Timonium

The Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors will have its 15th annual convention Wednesday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will include information sessions on housing issues, an annual meeting and giveaways and prizes. Registration costs $35 and includes an afternoon cocktail reception.

NRT Inc., one of the largest real estate brokerage companies in the country and owner of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn ERA, said it made its first entry into the New York City market by acquiring the Corcoran Group. Corcoran has 500 sales associates, 200 staff members and 11 offices throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn ERA said Karen W. Gaylord joined its Bel Air-Abingdon office as a sales associate. Gaylord, who is a certified public accountant, joins the office with 17 years of real estate experience.
