Several homeowners in Butcher's Hill, a Baltimore neighborhood north of Canton and Fells Point, will open their homes Oct. 14 as part of the 22nd annual Butcher's Hill House Tour.

Tour-goers will get an inside look at 12 rowhouses of varying styles, many of which date back to the mid-19th and early 20th centuries. During the past two years, the neighborhood has become a popular destination for homebuyers interested in city living.

At the top of a hill on the west side of Patterson Park, the neighborhood's varying rowhouses are a draw for singles, young couples, families and empty-nesters, according to the Butcher's Hill Association.

The tour runs from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 on event day.

For information, call Gregory Maley, co-chairman of the tour, at 410-563-0678, or Rick Gilmour, the BHA's marketing chairman, at 410-342-7061.
