Drevo leads state women's seniors by 4 shots

Perry Drevo, an 8-handicap golfer from Norbeck Country Club, shot a remarkable 37-38--75 over a water-logged Prospect Bay CC in Grasonville yesterday and took a four-stroke lead halfway through the Maryland State Golf Association Women's Seniors championship.

Pat Erdly of Hillendale CC shot 37-42--79, her best round of the year, followed by past champions Joan Winchester of Rolling Road GC; Tinker Sanger of Green Spring and Sandi Terrill of Naval Academy GC.

Play will conclude today with another 18-hole round.

USGA State Team: Host Minnesota won the men's and women's tournaments in Chaska and Wayzata, respectively.
