Tutors Needed

Area schools and literacy programs seek volunteers to help children and adults improve reading skills and to assist with related projects. Among them:

The Baltimore County Public Library's Baby Boosters program needs volunteers to conduct Baby Story Times at six branches for children up to 23 months old. The program includes stories, songs and activities for parents, caregivers and babies. Training is available.

Volunteers are needed at the Arbutus Library, 1581 Sulphur Spring Road; Catonsville Library, 1100 Frederick Road; Reisterstown Library, 21 Cockeys Mill Road; Rosedale Library, 6105 Kenwood Ave.; White Marsh Library, 8133 Sandpiper Circle; and Woodlawn Library, 1811 Woodlawn Drive.
