Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Bank robbery: A man holding a hand in his pocket to suggest he was armed robbed the Valley Bank in the 9100 block of Reisterstown Road of an undisclosed amount of money about 1 p.m. yesterday. The robber fled on foot.

Parkville Precinct:

Burglary: On Wednesday, someone entered a house in the 3000 block of Linwood Ave. by cutting the screen of an open window. A cordless phone and answering machine were taken.

Burglary: Two televisions and a calculator, with value of $350, were taken from a house in the 9600 block of Harford Road Tuesday.

Baltimore City

Central District

Larceny: A laptop computer and a briefcase, with a total worth of $2,400, were stolen between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10:40 a.m. yesterday from a room in an office building at 2 Hopkins Plaza.

Larceny from auto: Between 9:40 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. yesterday, someone smashed a window of a 2001 Nissan X-Terra in the 100 block of E. Madison St, and stole a diamond ring valued at $1,200 from the front seat.

Eastern District

Shooting/robbery attempt: A gunman got out of a vehicle Wednesday night in the 2400 block of E. Chase St., yelling, "Give it up!" to a man on the street. The man had no money, but the robber shot him in the left leg.
