Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northern District

Stolen auto: A 1991 Toyota, with tags GWY 994, was stolen Saturday night or Sunday morning from the 5700 block of The Alameda

Auto larceny: A radar detector valued at $500 was removed from a 1995 BMW parked in the 2300 block of St. Paul St. between 11:20 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. Sunday.

Burglary: A thief entered a room in the 2700 block of N. Calvert St. and stole $716 between 8 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.

Western District

Robbery/arrest: A woman, 19, was robbed at gunpoint in the first block of N. Carlton St. about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. The assailant took the woman's jewelry and an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot -- running into a home on the block after a police officer noticed the incident. Joseph Oglesby, 27, of the 2400 block of Etting St. was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Southeastern District

Stolen auto: A green 1992 BMW with tags HCV 411 was reported stolen at 6:20 a.m. Sunday from the first block of South Washington St.

Stolen auto: A black 1999 Mazda 626, with tags GWH 936, was reported stolen at 7 a.m. Sunday from the 600 block of S. Streeper St.

Baltimore County

Northpoint Precinct:

Stolen auto: A 1992 Cadillac was stolen between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday from the 7600 block of Old Bayfront Road. The car was recovered Sunday evening, and two juveniles were arrested and charged with car theft.

Assault: A 25-year-old man was walking in the 100 block of Center Place about 3:20 p.m. Sunday when a man approached and started punching him in the head for unknown reasons. The victim said he knew his attacker only by his nickname, "Moore."

Shoplifting: A 38-year-old man entered the Giant Food store in the 1400 block of Merritt Blvd. about 5:20 p.m. Sunday and tried to steal 24 cans of baby formula, valued at $83. The man was arrested and charged with theft.

Burglary: Someone broke into a shed in the 8300 block of Mildred Ave. between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday and stole a lawn mower, a tiller and a weed cutter, together valued at $477.

Woodlawn Precinct

Armed robbery: A 7-Eleven store in the 1800 block of Woodlawn Drive was robbed at gunpoint about 12:30 p.m. yesterday by a man who took $50.

Towson Precinct

Assault: Four men kicked open a locked apartment door in the 7700 block of Greenview Terrace about 4:30 a.m. Sunday and assaulted a man who lives there. The attackers struck the victim with a baseball bat in the head, arms and knees.

Parkville Precinct

Theft: A Coca-Cola vending machine was stolen from Carney Liquors in the 9200 block of Harford Road between 9 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. yesterday. The machine, valued at $1,000, was recovered at a nearby church -- but was missing about $100 in coins.

Burglary: Someone broke into a shed in the 3000 block of Hiss Ave. between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. yesterday and stole several items, including two chain saws, an air tank, wrenches and a weed eater, valued at $1,900.

Burglary: Owners of a home on the 11700 block of Manor Road returned yesterday after being gone since Aug. 25 to find the front door pried open, but nothing was reported missing.
