Audrey Herman Spotlighters Theatre. Auditions for Ebenezer, an original musical based on the Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, will be noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 23 at the theater, 817 St. Paul St. Needed are male and female actors of all ages, especially a small boy, age 6-9, two young men, ages 20-30, and three older men, ages 40-60. Be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song of your choice and to read from the script. Accompanist will be provided. For audition time slot, call 410-752-1225.

Vagabond Players. Terrence McNally's Master Class. 7 p.m. Sept. 24-25 at the theater, 806 S. Broadway. Needed are two female sopranos, ages 20-30, and a male tenor, age 25-40. An experienced onstage piano player who is familiar with opera music also is sought. Singers should prepare an aria and be familiar with acting. Production dates are Jan. 11-Feb. 10. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Auditions take place Sept. 29-30 for the ninth annual Kennedy Center Dance Theatre of Harlem Community Residency. Students at all dance levels accepted, including those without prior ballet training. Students selected for the eight-part series of ballet classes (Oct. 20-Dec. 8) will be trained at community sites by Dance Theatre of Harlem instructors.
