Ken Murray's outlook: The Broncos christen Invesco Field at Mile High with an opener against the NFC champion Giants. Broncos coach Mike Shanahan is 6-2 in season openers, and the Giants' Jim Fassel is 4-0. The Giants won the last meeting between the two teams in 1998, 20-16, on a last-minute TD catch by Amani Toomer, to end Denver's hopes of an unbeaten season. The Giants were 11-0 in 2000 when they won or tied the turnover battle. The Broncos led the AFC with 410.4 yards a game and a 30.3 scoring average last year. QB Brian Griese's 1.2 percent interception ratio is the best in Denver hisory.
