NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Even here, even now, there is no escaping the memory of Jan. 7 for the Tennessee Titans. There is no obliterating the facts, no whitewashing the stain.
When the Titans launch the 2001 season at home against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night, they will finally get a clean slate. But they will still not be able to distance themselves from that fateful day eight months ago.
