Pen SuperShow in McLean, Va.

More than 200 exhibitors from 17 countries will show, sell, buy, trade, repair and talk about a multitude of pens dating from the 1880s to the present this weekend at the Washington Pen SuperShow in McLean, Va. You'll find new, upscale and moderately priced pens created by the world's top pen makers in addition to collectible limited editions. Also, check out writing paper, pen accessories, memorabilia, old advertising curiosities, display cases, pen cases, books, magazines and gifts. The first 200 visitors each day will receive free Delta ink in a commemorative show bottle and other gifts.

Show site is the Ritz-Carlton Hotel at Tysons Center II Mall, 1700 Tysons Blvd. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $5, free under 12. Call 703-506-4300.

Goschenhoppen Folk Festival

Discover Pennsylvania Dutch folk culture tomorrow and Saturday at the 35th annual Goschenhoppen Folk Festival in East Greenville, Pa. Each day, more than 800 costumed interpreters will demonstrate aspects of Pennsylvania Dutch life in the 18th and 19th centuries, including rope-making, chair-caning, doll-making and spinning. And you'll meet a Revolutionary War soldier, blacksmith, tinsmith, cabinet maker, huckster, pie baker, seamstress and others. Also, enjoy stage music and strolling bands, and tempt your taste buds with homemade root beer and lemonade, sausage sandwiches and corn pie. Or sit down to an old-fashioned church dinner with all the trimmings.

The festival takes place at New Goschenhoppen Park, 3rd Street. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7, free ages 12 and younger. Call 215-234-8953.
