World heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman has signed for a November rematch with Lennox Lewis that is worth more than $10 million to the Baltimore boxer, Rahman's co-manager, Steve Nelson, said yesterday.

Rahman, who earned the World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation titles with a fifth-round knockout of Lewis on April 21, signed the deal Saturday night at the South Florida home of promoter Don King, Nelson said.

"The fight will take place in Las Vegas on either Nov. 10 or Nov. 17, at either the Mandalay Bay, Caesars Palace or MGM Grand hotels," said Nelson.

The fight will be televised on TVKO - HBO's pay-per-view arm - Nelson said. King also has a multi-fight offer for Rahman from HBO on the table, Nelson said.

"Rock's getting more than Lewis - $10 million plus a percentage of an upside to pay-per-view sales on the fight, which, hopefully, will do very well," said Nelson.

"We like Don King, and if everything goes right with HBO, we expect to stay with King and HBO for the remainder of Rock's career."

Rahman said yesterday: "The deal is done, and I'm satisfied."

King secured the rights to promote the fight two weeks ago at his home, where Lewis and his business manager, Adrian Ogun of Lions Promotions, agreed to a deal worth $10 million to Lewis. That deal, signed in the presence of Lewis' mother and his attorney, Judd Burstein, was contingent on King's signing Rahman within two weeks.

The two-week deadline expired last Thursday, but Lewis' camp extended it by a couple of days, allowing King - who had been in China promoting the coming John Ruiz-Evander Holyfield World Boxing Association heavyweight fight - to fly in and begin Friday's negotiations.

The deal for Rahman-Lewis II contains no rematch clause, Nelson said.
