A motorcyclist was killed early yesterday in Pasadena when he was thrown from his vehicle and hit a tree.
William Clyde Turner, 28, of the 1800 block of Fox Hollow Run was found dead about 100 feet from his 1996 Harley-Davidson Sportster by Anne Arundel County police Officer James Schreiber about 2:30 a.m., according to a police report.
Earlier, Officer Joseph Larkin had reported seeing a motorcycle traveling west on Fort Smallwood Road at speeds of more than 100 mph. Larkin followed the motorcycle but lost track of it. Schreiber was helping Larkin search for the motorcyclist when he found Turner next to a tree along Fox Hollow Run off Fort Smallwood Road.
Police said Turner was driving south on Fox Hollow Run when his motorcycle apparently veered off the road and went into a drainage ditch, and he was thrown from the motorcycle.
Police said alcohol might have been a factor in the accident.
