A Frederick County high school drama teacher was charged with possession of child pornography and drugs after federal agents raided his home yesterday morning, federal authorities said.

Samuel Owen Huffer, a teacher at Walkersville High School, is accused of recently receiving a shipment of three child porn videos purchased for $90 over the Internet, said Postal Inspector Patrick Bernardo.

Additional tapes recovered yesterday from the house in the 7100 block of Cypress Court in Frederick are being reviewed to see whether they contained illegal pornographic material.

Bernardo said agents also discovered small amounts of suspected marijuana and cocaine in the 60-year-old teacher's house.

Ronald W. Peppe II, president of Frederick County's Board of Education, said he did not know about the raid on Huffer's house. He said the school will conduct an investigation.

"When things like this happen, there is an investigation and the superintendent decides what to do," Peppe said.

The case was investigated by an interagency group known as Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
