Anne Arundel County police were searching yesterday for a 20-year-old man accused in the rape of a 16-year-old girl after they met on the Internet, then in person at Arundel Mills mall Saturday evening.
The girl, who is from Savage, told police she arranged to meet the man at the mall. After watching a movie with him, she told police, she went with him to a secluded spot at the shopping complex in Hanover and was raped.
Police would not give details about the incident yesterday because, officers said, they felt they were close to locating a suspect for questioning.
