The Contemporary Museum

MARYLAND SCENE

The Contemporary Museum's "The Big Picture -- Take II" seemed quite the party at which to see and be seen. Many big names in the art world were there -- William Wegman, Connie Imboden, Andy Warhol, Grace Hartigan and Alexander Calder, to name a few -- names, that is, gracing some of the artwork being sold at the museum's second annual benefit auction and exhibition at its home at 100 West Centre St.

And then there were the names of the 135 art aficionados present, such names as Susan and Bill Kolodner, event co-chairs; Sue Hess, event honorary chair; Ruth Herman, Francine Mittelman and Jamie Snead, event committee members; Steve Ziger, Contemporary Museum board president; Sandy Dalsheimer, board past president; Charles Brickbauer, Dan Chemers, Susan King Felser, Dr. Neal Friedlander, JoAnn Fruchtman, Neil Meyerhoff and Bodil Ottesen, board members; Gary Sangster, museum director; Martha Macks-Kahn, Goya Girl Press president; Dr. Rich Perlmutter, Towson psychiatrist; Linda Robinson, Linda Robinson Interiors owner; Barbara Fegley, Walters Art Museum registrar's assistant; Joan Levin, Joan Levin Design owner; Howard Rosenbloom, Ben & Esther Rosenbloom Foundation executive director; Dr. Michelle Gelkin, Baltimore ophthalmologist; Brenda Edelson, Baltimore private art dealer; Bob Kessler, of counsel to William G. Kolodner; Joel Levin, Baltimore attorney; and Ricki Baker, Baker Consulting president.

"The Big Picture" was also a big success -- raising about $50,000 for the Contemporary Museum.
