Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Shooting: A 19-year-old man was in stable condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after he was shot Tuesday night in O'Donnell Heights. The victim was at Boston Street and Travers Way about 10:50 p.m. when he heard several shots and felt a pain in his back. He was taken by ambulance to Bayview, where he was being treated for a bullet wound to the left shoulder. No arrest had been made.

Rape try: A woman, 24, was in the 300 block of S. Patterson Park Ave. about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday when she was attacked by a man armed with a knife who forced her under the exterior stairway of a church and tried to rape her. Her assailant fled when bystanders came to her aid.

Stolen vehicle: A white 1996 Jeep with tags 5G15074 was stolen between Friday and Sunday in the 2300 block of Broening Highway. The theft was reported Tuesday.

Southern District

Theft: A cellular phone valued at more than $100 and owned by a supermarket security officer was stolen Monday from his station at Safeway food market in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St.

Theft: A digital camera and its case -- all valued at more than $1,700 -- were stolen between Feb. 9 and April 18 from an office in the 3800 block of S. Hanover St. The theft was reported Tuesday.

Burglary: Three water pipes and cigarette paper -- all valued at nearly $400 -- were stolen overnight Monday from Tobacco Road in the first block of E. Cross St.

Burglary: A lawn mower and other lawn-care equipment -- all valued at more than $400 -- were stolen from a shed in the 3700 block of Fourth St. in Brooklyn between May 23 and Monday.

Assault: A man, 42, was sitting on the front porch of his house in the 2700 block of Fisk Road about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when someone shot him in the right hand and head with a BB gun. He required no medical treatment, and no arrest had been made.

Theft: Someone entered a house in the 3100 block of St. Margaret St. on Sunday and stole a cellular phone valued at nearly $230.

Theft from vehicle: Athletic clothing and a compact disc player -- all valued at $200 -- were stolen Tuesday from a 1996 Jeep parked in the 1000 block of Hull St. in Locust Point.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Two mountain bicycles, a Gucci watch and the key to a Porsche -- all valued at more than $1,700 -- were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 9400 block of Lyons Mill Road.

Stolen vehicle: A white 1991 Mercedes Benz SL500 with tags GTT 729 was stolen Monday from the parking lot of Valley Center in the 9600 block of Reisterstown Road.

Stolen car: A 1990 Chrysler LeBaron with tags HJA 255 was stolen Tuesday in the 9100 block of Thistledown Road.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A tire and rim -- all valued at more than $200 -- were stolen Tuesday from the rear yard of a house in the 1000 block of Bowleys Quarters Road.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: A man, 37, from the 100 block of S. Highland Ave. in Southeast Baltimore, was arrested Tuesday when he attempted to leave the Sears department store in the 7800 block of Eastern Blvd. without paying for a tool bag and a paint spray gun -- all valued at nearly $170.
