Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Drug arrests: Police raided an apartment in the 1700 block of Nome St. about 5:30 p.m. Friday and arrested nine people on drug charges. Four of the suspects are alleged members of the "Black Mob" drug gang. Later that evening, police posing as drug dealers on the same block arrested five people who attempted to purchase drugs. During both operations, officers seized cocaine valued at $510, marijuana worth $40, more than $2,600 and four vehicles.

Robbery: Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a man, 40, of his keys and $500 in the first block of N. Lakewood Ave. about 3 a.m. Monday.

Robbery: Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a man, 27, of $170 at North Milton Avenue and McElderry Street about 3 a.m. Monday.

Burglary: Ten compact discs and two jars containing unknown sums of coins were stolen overnight Sunday from a house in the first block of N. Belnord Ave.

Western District

Drug arrests: Police working covert operations Saturday at five West Baltimore locations arrested six people on drug possession charges and seized quantities of cocaine and heroin worth more than $200. The locations are known for heavy drug traffic and recent drug-related violence. They are the 1100 block of W. Saratoga St.; 700 block of N. Fremont Ave.; 1000 block of N. Stricker St.; 900 block of N. Calhoun St.; and the 1100 block of N. Carey St.

Robbery: A gunman entered the Amoco service station in the 2500 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway on Monday and fled with more than $100.

Shooting/arrest: Housing Authority police responded to a shooting in the 200 block of N. Amity St. on Monday afternoon, arrested a suspect and recovered a .22-caliber revolver. The victim, a woman, suffered a graze wound of the right leg and was treated at an area hospital. The gunman's identity was not available.

Southwestern District

Drug arrests: District drug enforcement unit officers raided a house in the 2100 block of Wilhelm St. on Friday, arrested two men on drug possession charges and seized cocaine valued at more than $1,000. Ravanna Cornish, 19, of the 4700 block of Chatford Ave. and Keon Hyman, 21, of the 3100 block of McElderry St. were charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle: Seventy-five compact discs valued at more than $700 and the face plate of a car stereo system were stolen Monday from a 1998 Toyota Corolla parked in the 1300 block of S. Hanover St.

Theft: Power tools valued at $2,080 were stolen over the weekend from a 1996 Ford pickup truck parked in the 1300 block of Elmtree St. in Brooklyn.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Theft: A concrete statue of a lion was stolen overnight Sunday from the front yard of a house in the 400 block of N. Marlyn Ave.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: A man, 28, from Northeast Baltimore was arrested Monday when he attempted to leave the Giant food store in the 1100 block of Merritt Blvd. without paying for baby formula valued at more than $160.
