May 28, 2001|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A teen-age male was killed and another injured yesterday when a man armed with a shotgun fired on them outside a Northeast Baltimore apartment building.

David Allen Green, 17, of the 4600 block of Chatford Ave. suffered wounds to the upper body and died shortly after 5 p.m. at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, said Detective Irvin Bradley.

Bradley said the other victim, whose identity was withheld, was shot in the right hand and treated at Bayview.

According to Bradley, a group that included the victims was outside Maple Glen Apartments in the 6000 block of Amberwood Road about 4:30 p.m. when the unidentified assailant approached, fired at least once and fled.

Bradley said Green ran into the lobby of the apartment building and collapsed. He said the other victim was found at a nearby gas station where he had run for help.
