Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Drug arrests: Officer Allen Adkins arrested two men he saw allegedly selling drugs Wednesday in the 2600 block of Hafer St. Nearly $350 and several capsules of heroin were seized from the men. Kevin Merchinson, 23, of the 1200 block of Kitmore Road and Cedrick Pettaway, 43, of the 2500 block of Hollins St. were charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin.

Drug arrest: Officer Morgan Jones arrested a man Wednesday in the first block of S. Fulton Ave. and seized 29 capsules of heroin. Vincent Price, 38, of the 100 block of S. Fulton Ave. was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin.

Drug arrest: Police arrested a man who allegedly bought heroin Wednesday in the 2800 block of Lauretta Ave. and seized 12 vials of heroin and his 1991 Mazda. Von Rodina, 20, of Fairfax, Va., was charged with simple possession of heroin.

Burglary: A diamond-studded tennis bracelet, valued at more than $2,000, was stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 100 block of North Bend Road.

Burglary: A digital camera, two flashlights and cash - all valued at nearly $1,700 - were stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 2500 block of Washington Blvd.

Assault: A woman, 25, was walking in an alley in the 700 block of N. Woodington Road about 8 p.m. Wednesday when she was attacked by two other women, who struck her in the face and knocked her to the ground. The victim suffered an injury to her right eye and was treated at St. Agnes HealthCare.

Southern District

Burglary/arrest: Responding to a burglar alarm early Wednesday at Washington Village Pharmacy in the 700 block of Washington Blvd., Officers Cameron Battle and Danny Scott saw a man leave the store, pursued him two blocks east to the 800 block of Barre St. and arrested him. The officers recovered nearly 50 cartons of cigarettes and 31 cigarette lighters. Daniel Madron, 45, of the 1300 block of Ramsay St. was charged with burglary.

Burglary: Jewelry valued at $1,400 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1400 block of Haubert St.

Burglary: A glass chess set, compact disc player and an Australian coin - all valued at more than $1,000 - were stolen between May 15 and Tuesday from a house in the 3700 block of E. Pratt St.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Cigarettes valued at $1,980 were stolen overnight Tuesday from Putty Hill Exxon in the 8100 block of Belair Road.

Burglary: A stun gun, cassette player, jewelry, compact disc player and a DVD player - all valued at more than $1,000 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 9700 block of Winkler St.

Burglary: Someone disabled the alarm system, entered a house in the 4600 block of Silver Spring Road on Wednesday and stole cash and jewelry - all valued at more than $2,000.

Towson Precinct

Church burglary: Computer equipment was stolen overnight Tuesday from Trinity Assembly of God in the 2100 block of W. Joppa Road.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: More than $7,000 worth of jewelry was stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 2000 block of Richglen Drive.

For the record

Arrest: A man charged in the nonfatal shooting of another man in the 100 block of W. Fayette St. on Tuesday night was arrested by Officer Keith White of the Mass Transit Administration Police, who had followed the suspect into a nearby McDonald's restaurant, said a city police spokesman. He said White also helped recover the large-caliber handgun used in the shooting from a trash can in the restaurant.
